Shift
Are your subtitles too early or too late by the same amount throughout the movie? Shift the whole .srt file forward or backward by the delay of your choice, in seconds and milliseconds.
Sync
Does the delay grow or shrink during the movie, for example because the subtitles were made for another frame rate? Enter the correct timing of two subtitles, and SubShifter adjusts all the others proportionally.

Frequently asked questions
How do I fix subtitles that are out of sync?
If the subtitles are early or late by the same amount throughout the movie, use Shift and enter the delay. If the gap grows or shrinks during the movie, use Sync: enter the correct time of one subtitle near the beginning and one near the end, and SubShifter corrects all the others.
Which subtitle formats does SubShifter support?
SubShifter works with SRT (.srt) subtitle files.
Is SubShifter free?
SubShifter is free to download. The free version lets you save up to 30 minutes of shifted or synced subtitles per file, which is enough for most TV episodes. Premium removes the limit: a one-time purchase on iPhone and iPad, and a lifetime licence or a monthly or yearly subscription on Mac.
Does SubShifter upload my files?
No. SubShifter works 100% offline, on your device, and doesn't collect any data.
Is there a Windows or Android version?
