How do I make a scanned PDF searchable on a Mac?

Open the PDF in Textify, let it recognize the text, then export it as a PDF. The recognized text is embedded in the new file, so you can search it, select it and copy it. To convert many files at once, select them in the Finder and use Textify's Quick Action.

How do I copy text from an image or a screenshot on a Mac?

Paste the image or screenshot into Textify, even one you copied on your iPhone or iPad, or open the image file. Textify recognizes the text, which you can then copy or save as a .txt file.

Can Textify read columns and multi-column layouts?

Yes. On Mac, you can define OCR zones to recognize columns and other special layouts, and edit the result before exporting.
